Does the screen stay on while the light is on?
Yes. Turning the light on requests a screen wake lock, so your display won't dim or lock while it's shining — as long as this tab stays visible. Exit the light and the screen sleeps normally again.
How do I make it as bright as possible?
Turn your device's own screen brightness all the way up first — a web page can't override that. Then set the colour to white and the brightness slider to full.
Why use the screen instead of the phone's flashlight?
The screen covers a much larger area with soft, even light and can change colour — handy as a fill light for photos and video calls, a warm reading light, a red night-vision light, or a light on a laptop that has no LED torch.
